Source Annotations

Source annotations is a mechanism for annotating Magik type code elements in Type Overview editor. Each annotation specifies a region of related code in editor and source location of the original element if there is any. All of the annotations and related partitions are being marked with dedicated colour that indicates location of a source file from which code elements has been taken (all of the partitions highlighted with the same colour are related to the same source location of original Magik file).

Source Annotations

Source annotations are being shown on the vertical ruler on the left and on the overview ruler on the right. There is also an additional panel at the top of the editor with information about currently opened type and related session. To see the information about source location related to given partition in editor, you have to move the cursor over the annotation on the left vertical bar. Press F2 or move the cursor over hint window to set focus on it.

Source Annotations

You can open original source file with related code element by double-clicking on annotation or by running open Source File command Source Annotations available in hint window.
