MDT Standard Edition has the basic functionalities of MDT Professional. It is free to use in both commercial and non-commercial projects. It is based on an early version of MDT and it is great to familiarize yourself with IDE based on Eclipse. If you want to try the full version check our Trial or look at the comparison of features.
Installation You should follow the steps from the installation documentation to install the plug-in in your Eclipse environment using built-in Software Updates mechanism. If the new version of MDT SE is available you can upgrade your plug-in. The installation documentation contains also the description of upgrading modes. - Available MDT SE releases support Smallworld™ Core Spatial Technology 3.2.1, 3.3, 4.0 and 4.1.
