Opening an editor for a selected element

You can select the name of a type, method, or field in Magik editor and open a new editor on the implementation of the element.

1. In Magik editor select the name of a type, method, or field. You can also click into the name once.
2. Do one of the following:
   • From the menu bar, select Navigate > Open Declaration
   • From the editor's pop-up menu, select Open Declaration
   • Press F3

1. Hold down Ctrl key.
2. In Magik editor move the mouse over the name of a type, method, or field until the name becomes underlined.
3. Click the hyperlink once.

Open Declaration dialog will appear which will allow you to select particular declaration to open. An editor opens containing the selected element.

Note: If selected name will not be underlined it means the element implementation is not available in GIS session or in local resources. Code navigation is also not available while editing external files (File > Open File...).
