Magik Development Tools (MDT) is a flexible and intuitive visual Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for GE Smallworld™ GIS developers. MDT is based on Eclipse and enables comprehensive use of already existing solutions and plug-ins.

02.10.2007 ASTEC at 2007 EMEA Software Conference 'Smallworld™ and the Smart Network'

On 17-19 October 2007 ASTEC representatives will participate in 2007 EMEA Software Conference in Mallorca, Spain. During the conference ASTEC will run a presentation and a workshop entitled ‘Smallworld™ GIS and Magik Development Tools – Rapid software development with use of Eclipse framework’ on 19th October (Friday) respectively at 9:00 and 11:40.

Both the presentation and the workshop will concern new functionalities of MDT Standard Edition 1.0 as well as powerful enhancements of the future MDT Professional Edition releases like debugger, EMF Magik model, highly extended Magik code editor, etc.

31.05.2007 Magik Development Tools 0.5 Now Available!

The release of Magik Development Tools 0.5 is now available for immediate download and installation. The release includes the following new major features:
    - completely reimplemented GIS console with new way of accessing to GIS commands
    - new Command Histories view and GIS Commands Managing perspective for managing
      GIS commands
    - Magik Occurrences in Magik editor
    - support for many GIS sessions in Magik Search and Class Browser
    - new way of accessing sources in Class Browser
    - completely reimplemented product and module wizards

17.05.2007 SWUG 2007

On 22nd – 24th May 2007 ASTEC representatives will take part in annual Conference of the Smallworld™ User Group in Cologne. ASTEC will also have presentation on 24th May at 11:10 concerning "Development of Smallworld™ GIS with the use of integrated MDT environment". We are looking forward to seeing you at SWUG 2007.

17.05.2007 MDT granting

On 9th May 2007 ASTEC signed a grant agreement with Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education concerning improvement of innovative MDT project. This financial resources will allow us to dynamically develop MDT for the next three years.

17.05.2007 ASTEC became an authorized training partner GE Energy

ASTEC has attained GE Training Partner status in the GE Energy "Solution Partner Program". Our offer enlarged by trainings is a next step of collaboration between ASTEC and GE Energy, which main aim is providing our customers with full service in GIS technologies.
