MDT Professional Edition
MDT® Professional Edition is a flexible and intuitive Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for GE Smallworld™ GIS developers. MDT provides many useful features for developers writing in Magik language. MDT is based on Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP) that enables wide use of already existing solutions and plug-ins. Using MDT Professional Edition significantly accelerates the software development process.

Note: MUnit 3 Support, Mylyn Bridge and UML2 Modeler are installed separately as add-ons.
What should I download?
MDT installation package can be downloaded above. There are two download possibilities available:
- Product - contains MDT and all required components compressed into a single executable file. MDT is ready to use after installation.
- Plug-in - is intended to be used with existing Eclipse installations. It has to be installed through Eclipse's standard plug-in installation feature (or you can add MDT Update Site to your Eclipse: http://www.mdt.net/pe/updates).
What is required to run MDT?
You can run MDT product after installing MDT from executable file and activating the appropiate license. If you are using proxy you will have to set it properly in Eclipse in order to activate the license.
To run MDT plug-in you have to install Eclipse 3.5, 3.6 or 3.7, EMF and have Java JRE 1.6.0.4 or later. We strongly recommend the latest JRE 1.6.
