Magik Development Tools (MDT) is a flexible and intuitive visual Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for GE Smallworld™ GIS developers. MDT is based on Eclipse and enables comprehensive use of already existing solutions and plug-ins.

MDT PE 2.0 is available now!

27-29.05.2008 ASTEC at SWUG 2008 conference

On 27-29th May ASTEC representatives – Janusz Michalewicz, Dariusz Michura and Bartłomiej Łączkowski – participated in SWUG conference (SMALLWORLD™ User Group) in Würzburg (Germany). During the conference we presented our services and Magik Development Tools suite for the Smallworld™ Magik developers. On 29th May Dariusz Michura had a presentation about "Magik Development Tools Professional Edition - The new possibilities in Smallworld™ Magik code developing". Presentation met with great interest of the conference participants and many of them visited our booth.

24.04.2008 MDT 1.0.0 Professional Edition M2 Development Plan

ASTEC announces that the Magik Development Tools 1.0.0 Professional Edition Milestone 2 is planned to be released in May 2008. The list of new features is available here. Please feel free to place your remarks about planned release and your suggestions for new features on the "WISH LIST" forum at the MDT website.

28.01.2008 Magik Development Tools 1.0.0 Standard Edition now available!

The release of Magik Development Tools 1.0.0 Standard Edition is now available for immediate download and installation.

The most interesting enhancement of the release is the support for Smallworld™ GIS 3.2.1, 3.3, 4.0 and 4.1. Feel invited to see through MDT help, especially 'Welcome' and 'What’s new' pages.

This release starts a separate branch of Magik Development Tools product development. The Standard Edition releases are intended to include crucial features and community support as it is now. The Standard Edition release also means no changes in current licensing.

In the planned Professional Edition a set of new useful and extraordinary features is going to be introduced to make our product even more versatile! Please pay attention to the presentation from 2007 EMEA Software Conference to find out more about it.

11.10.2007 MDT gets the title 'Innovation of 2007'

In August ASTEC took part in ‘Innovation of 2007’ competition promoting new and modified products, services and innovative projects. The competition was organized under the auspices of Information Processing Centre OPI in Warsaw and FIRE Innovation Center Foundation. ASTEC participated in the competition as the producer of Magik Development Tools and took the 9th position in Poland as well as got the right to use 'Innovation of 2007' logo on its product.
